The only casualty will be your heart when you come to realize you are talking to a skinny, black, Nigerian scammer pretending to be in the military pulling the military romance scam on complete strangers that are women that are so desperate for love they abandon ALL common sense and think these military men randomly message you and choose you out of 4.2 Billion females on Earth to profess their love to while coming up with stories and excuses as to why the need you to send them money. Listen VERY CLOSELY to me. There are NO U.S. Generals or United Nations military forces in the entire country of Syria. Not a single one. The Syrian government is hostile the U.S. and views us as occupiers for the 2 small out posts we have in the far South of the Country used to still combat ISIS although those out posts are so small there are no Generals anywhere near there. Those small bases would be under the command of a lower rank like a Lt Colonel. And no….There haven’t been any US Casualties in Syria in at least the last few years. Trust me Lady. I served in the Marine Corps as a machine gunner in the infantry and was in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, and even Southern Syria ( We were in Western Iraq at night and we accidently crossed the border ). Not to be mean but while I was in the Marines myself and my buddies were swamped with attention from real college age females back in the US who we would call all the time and video chat with. They would even send us nude pictures. The reason your scammer wont call you is because you will hear his thick African accent and he wont do a video char because you will see he is black and African and NOT the handsome military man whose picture he stole online and uses pretending to be him. Don’t believe any of his excuses about he cant call you because “it’s classified” or against the rules. When I was in Iraq for 9 months I would call back to the U.S. several times a day to talk to family or girls I was talking to whenever I wasn’t on a mission. And even back in 2004/2005 I was able to video chat using Yahoo Messenger. I pray you have not bought one of his lies and sent him money because you will never see it again…. Military members have our own money…We get paid on the 1st and 15th of each month. We have debit cards to buy whatever we want, we have ATM’s on base overseas and in war zones, we have online banking ( Hell, in Iraq there was even a Navy Federal Credit Union Bank ( It was a mini branch ) set up at the base I was at in the middle of a major war zone….. We NEVER need you to send us money to have enough for a plane ticket home ( the military covers all our costs. we Never need money to pay for medical care if we are hurt or injured…( The military pays 100% of that with no co pays either ). We never have to pay money to request to go on leave… ( Scammers tell women they need money to pay the fee to go on leave so that the scammer can come to America to meet the woman to start the process of them getting married…….) This is all B.S. also. If you want to take leave you just go to Head Quarters Company to the S-1 Admin section and get the form you fill out to request leave. You turn it in to your company 1st Sgt and if he approves it he then gives it to the company commander for them to approve. There are no Fees you have to pay and it doesn’t cost a thing to submit. The only expense the military member would have is the plane ride from overseas back to the U.S. and then back to the Country they are in. In 2000 My grandma died while I was deployed to Okinawa on a 6 month deployment. I had already been deployed for 5 months when the Red Cross message came in. I was given emergency leave to return to the U.S. for her funeral. I was able to get financial help through a charity that paid my airfare back to the U.S. so that I didnt have to pay that. I finally landed in Baltimore where my parents picked me up and went to the funeral and spent 10 days on leave. My command didnt make me fly back to Okinawa Japan afterwards since they would be returning in another 2 weeks aftre my leave was up. So after my 10 days I reported back to Camp Lejeune, N.C. with the rear party ( a few people from your unit stay back each deployment to look after your area and I just waited on my unit to return. The military flew us over to Okinawa on a civilian airliner and paid for that. They flew the rest of the guys back on a civilian airliner and paid for that. The only reason they didn’t pay for my emergency leave airfare was because I was requesting leave. But don’t believe scammers who say there tour in a country is up and they need money to return home. Another common scam is the scammers say they need money while in combat to buy food, clothes, body armor, equipment, ammunition, or even to replace a weapon they lost. This is all b.s. also. We don’t buy ammo, body armor, etc. You want to know how a military member is real. ( Unfortunately 99.9999% of the time if a stranger hits you up acting like they cant wait to fall in love with you and claim they are military they are lying UNLESS you are drop dead gorgeous and very active on social media ). We will never ask you for money. We will ask for care packages with beef jerky, energy drinks, tobacco and PORN….If they asl for porn and nude pics and your hot it may be real. Also, they will have a military physical overseas address that starts with FPO APO and an email that ends in .mil. Please break off all contact with your scammer before you get further hurt emotionally and financially.
